Manitoba Black Bear Hunts
For more than 20 years, Jim Hoard has been hunting or guiding hunters to trophy black bears. His experience and commitment to personalized service has lead to years of happy clients.
All Hoards Hunting Camps bear hunts take place over active, well maintained and established bait sites from a treestand or ground blind if necessary. We take pride in going the extra mile to ensure our baits are bringing the bears in, and you can generally expect to have multiple bears to choose from during your hunt.
Hoards Hunting Camps take a limited number of hunters each year, allowing us to manage our bear population and produce large, trophy black bears year after year.
Manitoba: The Home of BIG Black Bears
Manitoba has a reputation for producing big black bears year after year.
Located near Pinawa, Manitoba, Hoards Hunting Camps is in a prime location for trophy black bears. On the edge of large agricultural areas and the bush line, bears in this area have the food sources and the habitat they need to get big. The bears in this area can push over the 600 pound in the Fall due to abundant crops. This region of Canada also produces a good percentage of color-phase black bears.
Manitoba Whitetail Deer Hunts
While Hoards is a premiere destination for black bear hunts, our whitetail hunting opportunities are just as good. The same food sources that allow our black bears to get big and fat help produce some of the finest whitetail deer in North America. We extend the same work ethic, pride, and service to our whitetail deer hunts as we do our black bear hunts.
